# Invoice follow-up

> Find outstanding invoices and prepare the right follow-up for each client.

An Upsy playbook · https://upsy.ai/playbooks/invoice-follow-up

To use it: the user adds it in Upsy (Playbooks, Start from a playbook), or an assistant with Upsy proposes this file with playbook_save for the user to accept. Then any assistant they allow loads it with playbook_get and follows it with the user's own accounts.

## The playbook file

```markdown
---
title: Invoice follow-up
description: Find outstanding invoices and prepare the right follow-up for each client.
category: Finance
before:
  - Where your invoices are in Google Drive
  - How many days late counts as overdue (30 if not said)
boundaries: Reads your invoices and email, and drafts follow-ups. Never sends an email, marks an invoice paid or makes a payment.
result: A list of overdue invoices, and a polite follow-up draft for each, ready for you to send.
---
Chasing invoices is easy to put off and awkward to get right. This finds what's late, checks what was already said, and drafts a follow-up in the right tone for each.
1. **Find the invoices.** Open the invoices folder in Drive and list each one with its client, amount and due date. :connector[drive]
2. **See what's overdue.** Keep the ones past the overdue mark, oldest first.
3. **Check the thread.** For each, find the last email with the client about it: a promise to pay, a question, nothing. :connector[gmail]
4. **Draft the follow-ups.** One short email per client, friendlier for a first reminder, firmer for a second, with the invoice attached. Save each as a draft. :connector[gmail]
## Example output
| Client | Invoice | Late | Last word | Draft |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Acme | #1042, $4,800 | 38 days | "Paying next week" (Oct 2) | Second reminder |
Upsy connects personal AI assistants (Muse, Grok, ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor, Claude Code, Codex, Devin) to your Gmail, Google Calendar, Google Drive, Slack, Notion and other apps through one MCP server, with a shared memory, files and a cloud browser signed in to your sites. You choose what each assistant may do in each app, see everything it did, and turn it off in one click. Upsy is free. To add Upsy to an assistant, add a remote MCP server (Streamable HTTP) named Upsy at https://upsy.ai/connect. It signs in with OAuth; there is no API key.
